National University of Life and Environmental Science of Ukraine and Wroclaw University of Life and Environmental Sciences organiz the 2^nd International Summer School “Achievements and Applications of Environmental and Life Sciences for Sustainable Development” for students which will be held from 18 to 24 July 2016 in Kiev and from 25 to 30 July 2016 in Wroclaw (Poland).
The subject of study at the Summer School will cover the current issues of sustainable development of society in the context of human nutrition and provision of sufficient quantity and quality of food and water, climate change. The training activities will include the following three streams:
I. Knowledge for Sustainable Development (key topics: Animal
Organic Farming as a Sustainable Life Style; Traditional Food Products
as the Trend in Healthy Nutrition; Water Resources and Sustainable
Development; Ecosystem Services for Sustainable Development; Sustainable
forest management for green economy. Integrated forest fire management);
II. English for specific purposes (key topics: academic writing;
scientific vocabulary development skills; language for making successful
presentations; easy and clear scientific communication)
III. Cultural and Historical Heritage of Kiev Region in Ukraine and
Lower Silesia in Poland (key events: excursions to Ukrainian and Polish
organic farms, city tours, visiting historical places and museums,
tasting traditional Ukrainian and Polish cuisines).
